Most often in such videos, you might be recommended to use some job portals like Naukri, Shine, or LinkedIn. Besides that method, I will tell you about a method that very few people know about, which involves using 4 simple steps.
Step 1: Screening Companies
Let’s begin with the first step: screening companies. Now, because you’re looking for your first job, it’s not necessary that every reputed company hires from your college. Your target should be to find those companies where there is less competition, meaning a lot of people aren’t applying for their positions but there are opportunities. These are the companies that are definitely hiring people.
Finding Opportunities
Now the question arises, where do we find such companies? For that, I will recommend you a website. Although there are many such websites available, there’s one website I know of called Entrackr. On this website, news about various startups keeps coming, especially news related to funding.
Step 2: Finding Connect
Let’s continue with an example from this report. Here, you’ll see which startups have received funding under the growth stage. Similarly, there are also early-stage and other rounds mentioned. For instance, it’s written here that a startup named Clove Dental has raised funds. Similarly, Purple Style Labs is also a startup that recently raised funds.
Creating a List
So, what do you need to do? You have to create a list of all such startups, especially those where you’d like to work. Like I’ve made a list for your reference.
Step 3: Finding Emails
After this, we’ll move to step 2, called ‘finding connect.’ Now we know the companies, but now we’ll search for those people who can either refer you for that job opportunity or provide information about that job opportunity, meaning employees or recruiters. For this, we’ll use LinkedIn.

From the list of startups you’ve made, let’s pick one name, like taking the example of Purple Style Labs. Here, you’ll click on its company page, and the 5th option will show you ‘People.’ Clicking on this will display a search bar where you can type any job title to find their employees.
Step 4: Sending an Email
The fourth step is sending an email. When you draft an email, you need to attach a resume. Secondly, the content of the email you write is quite important.
