8 Quick Ways to Transform Your Resume in Just 15 Days!

If your resume doesn’t have any points at all, and you don’t have much time to do a lot of things, then let me reveal how I filled up my resume. What are the 8 things you can do within 15 days to transform your resume from this to this?

Task 1: Virtual Internships

The first task is virtual internships. If you don’t have enough time to do an offline internship or a full-time internship, then let me tell you about a website. Its name is Forage. Here, you will find internships from reputed companies in every field. That means there are some tasks given by the company, and after completing them, you will receive a certificate from the company. It’s completely free, and anyone can do it. I am sharing a list with you of their top internships that will add the most value to your resume. It won’t take you more than 4-5 hours to complete each internship. So this is your first task.

Task 2: Volunteering Opportunities

The second task will be volunteering opportunities. You have to volunteer. You can also volunteer in organizations near your city. What kind of organizations do people volunteer for? I am sharing the list of that with you. If you want to volunteer online instead of volunteering in the city, then use this website; its name is “ivolunteer.in”. Go to its homepage, type ‘virtual’ in the location, then press the search button. All opportunities will appear in front of you. Click on any opportunity, either apply directly from here, or go to their website and drop them an email.

Task 3: Online Courses

The third task will be to take online courses. We want to take courses that are short, reputable, and also provide certificates. I recommend you three courses like this. The first one is in Data Analytics, offered by Microsoft. It’s 9 hours long. The second is the “Generative AI” course from Google Cloud. It’s 1 hour long. The third one is the “Capital Markets” course from Infosys Springboard. It’s a total of 3 hours long. You’ll find the links to these 3 courses in the description.

Task 4: Personal Projects

The fourth task is personal projects. Any work that you can do in your free time, like writing, design, software development, or composing music. The easiest personal project is building your own website. If you want to use a free tool to build your website, then I would recommend Odoo’s Website Builder. Odoo’s first app is free forever with unlimited hosting and support. Plus, you’ll also get a custom domain for free for one year. You can create your website using this app in 4 simple steps.

  • First, select the type of website you want and your business objective.
  • Then, choose your preferred color palette.
  • Next, select the features you want on your website.
  • Finally, choose the theme you like.

That’s it! Your website will be ready to be customized within a few minutes. Now, you can use your writing skills to add content, or you can also use AI to fill in the content. You can use your design skills to add different blogs, change typography, and incorporate animation. Showcase your SEO skills by writing a blog. You can start writing on any topic, and all these blog posts will become a part of your portfolio, which you can use as proof to showcase your skills to any recruiter. I will add the link to Odoo’s website builder in the pinned comment and description. You can check it out.

Task 5: Online Competitions

The fifth task is online competitions. There is a website called Unstop. You will see the “Compete” option at the top. Then click on “Find Competitions”. In the status filter, select “Live”, and click on “Sort by” and choose “Days Left”. You will see all those competitions on the left-hand side, showing how many days are left. All these competitions are conducted online. For most opportunities, you also receive a participation certificate. So, in the next 15 days, participate in the recent competitions. If you win, you will also get an additional CV point.

Task 6: Attending Workshops

The sixth task is attending workshops. There is a website called Paytm Insider. Go to this website, and you’ll see “Location” on the top right. Click there and choose “Browse Online Events”. Now, instead of “All Events”, select “Workshops” and sort them by date. In the beginning, you’ll see events from December, so we need to scroll down to go to June. After that, we need to check out the recent events or workshops. Not all of these workshops are very good, so you’ll have to carefully screen which opportunities will be beneficial. Then attend those workshops and add that point to your resume.

Task 7: Analyzing Data

Task number 7 is analyzing data. There is a website called Kaggle, where there is a lot of data uploaded by different people. For example, this is the data on Rohit Sharma’s international centuries. Those of you who know programming or ML can use it to analyze these datasets and register it in your resume as a life project that you took up: analyzing data. If you have no knowledge of data science or programming, you can start learning it. “Kaggle” itself has a learning platform where tutorials are available. If you go through them within the next 15 days, you can mention your progress in your resume. This will show another skill that you’re currently learning.

Task 8: Free Tests

Task number 8 is free tests. There are many basic skills like Excel, Word, and typing. To provide proof of these skills, you can also take free tests online. For example, for Excel, there is a website called TestDome where you take an Excel test. If you score in the top 25%, they certify you in this way. Similarly, for typing, there is a website called Ratatype. If you type whatever is written, it calculates your words per minute and certifies you. For example, when I did it, my score was 56. You can then download these certificates and mention these points in your resume.

Conclusion

If you don’t have much time and you want to fill up your resume, you can take up all these activities in just 15 days. Your resume will look significantly more transformed compared to before.
